May 18, 2017: Avenues
I've had "Electric Avenue" stuck in my head on and off for, hmm, maybe a year. It's a little irritating, but it could be worse. The best and worst part of it, is that the earworm is often triggered by: a) walking around lower Manhattan and seeing a particular chain health food shop, at which point the line becomes "We gonna rock. Down. To. Organic. Avenue..."; and b) being in central Brooklyn and seeing signs for a particular popular thoroughfare, at which point the line becomes "We gonna rock. Down. To. Atlantic. Avenue..." Oh no? Oh... well. (There's also... "Acacia Avenue" if I've recently listened to Iron Maiden.)
